Your sailing route
Flexible route planning
The route shown is a suggestion based on optimal conditions. The final route is decided daily by the crew together with the skipper - depending on weather, wind, crew wishes and current conditions. This makes every trip an individual adventure!
Day 1
Come aboard and take a look at our "sample itinerary." Most people travel to Flensburg by car, while others take the train to Germany's northernmost city. By 4 p.m. at the latest, everyone is at the harbor to get organized and get to know each other. The group is rather small. With about five to seven fellow sailors, you will set sail for the next few days. Today, you will go shopping together, discuss the route to the "Danish South Sea" and receive a safety briefing on board after 5 p.m.
Day 2
Today's sailing trip takes you to Sønderborg on the island of Als, the gateway to your trip to the Danish South Sea. On this first leg of the journey, you will explore the Flensburg Fjord and see picturesque towns in the distance as well as charming coastlines characterized by steep banks and extensive beaches. In the evening, as you round off the day with your fellow sailors, discover the historic town center of Sønderborg and admire the twilight breaking over the water.
Day 3
From Sønderborg, you will sail to Lyø, a small Danish island south of Fåborg on Funen. As is often the case in the Baltic Sea, optimal wind conditions ensure a relaxing sailing vacation. Once you arrive on Lyø, you can enjoy the picture-perfect idyll of the island on a short walk, which offers plenty of variety with its rolling hills and pastures and constant views of neighboring islands such as Avernakø. In the evening, you can end the day together on board with a spectacular sunset.
Day 4
From Lyø, you will continue a few nautical miles further northeast – the new destination of your trip is Funen's second largest city, Svendborg. The city combines a wide variety of elements on your trip, because it is pulsating with life: gain cultural insights, experience Danish hospitality, listen to local musicians, and enjoy the local cuisine in the evening – true to the motto "Hyggelige og hjemmelig atmosfaere," which means "beautiful and cozy" in Danish.
Day 5
Your sailing trip through the Danish South Sea takes you towards Copenhagen, once Denmark's most important city for seafaring. With around 2,000 inhabitants, Marstal is not the largest town, but it is a historically significant fishing town that is also known as the "maritime pearl." Enjoy the cozy and charming atmosphere as you stroll through Marstal's alleys and immerse yourself in the authentic world of seafarers. Your skipper has a tip: explore the island of Ærø and the area around Marstal on foot or by bike.
Day 6
On our way to Germany, we make a detour to the Schlei, an inlet of the Baltic Sea. More precisely, we head to Schleimünde, a place that marks the meeting point of the Baltic Sea and the Schlei and is also called Pilot Island. Schleimünde is only accessible by water. The sky is yellow-orange as you moor the boat in the harbor. Soak up the special atmosphere of this little "island" and relax on the stone beach facing the Baltic Sea or one of the small wild sandy beaches facing the Schlei.
Day 7
From the Schlei, you head back to the Flensburg Fjord, and the sailing trip draws to a close. During this active tour of the Baltic Sea, you have helped out a lot and learned a lot about sailing. You have all the skills you need when you moor the lines again at around 4 p.m. in the port of departure, Flensburg. You are proud of yourself and "your" little crew. You cooked together, talked together, and saw beautiful islands. Depending on the crew's agreement, trips to other islands such as Møn were also possible. It was simply sailing among like-minded people.
Day 8
Why did your sailing trip on the Baltic Sea end so quickly? You would love to prolong your vacation on the Danish South Sea. Instead, with a heavy heart, you and your fellow sailors leave the yacht by 9:00 a.m. "What are you guys doing?" one of them asks. "Let's go to the harbor and the long beach promenade!" And maybe you'll add another day in Germany's northernmost city, Flensburg. It's worth it!
